As a podcast host himself, Rob knows that the relationship with the host can show faster results than that of the audience. This shows up as referrals, the hosts inviting rob back on their show for a second interview, and Rob inviting the guest on his show Tuff Love. Hosts often become clients too.

People often want big downloads but overlook the value of the one-on-one relationship with hosts. I know podcast guesting is a long play so I did dozens of shows so the audience would get to know me before I made the ask for them to buy my book.

Rob started doing podcast interviews well before writing his self-published book unHIDDEN. The first round of interviews allowed the hosts and audience to ‘know, like and trust Rob’ prior to releasing his book (and asking for sales).
